PRESS RELEASE

Bonnie Bernstein anchors NCAA Tournament coverage for Sprint

NEW YORK, March 15, 2006-- Beginning Thursday, March 16, nationally renowned sportscaster Bonnie Bernstein will be making broadcast history, as the first-ever studio host for original sports content created exclusively for wireless phones. Bernstein will be the marquee face of the Sprint Tournament Center, the hub for Sprint’s coverage of the men’s college basketball tournament. Bernstein, along with current and former college coaches, will provide on-demand game previews, news and injury updates, half-time analysis and post-game wraps from the opening round of the tourney through the national title game Monday, April 3, in Indianapolis.

"This is such an exciting time of year for college hoops fans" said Bernstein, "and after being a part of CBS’ tournament coverage for so long, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to incorporate my experience and insight with Sprint’s cutting-edge technology."

The Sprint Tournament Center will originate from Chicago the first two weeks of the tournament, then shift to Indianapolis for the semi-final and championship games. On-demand studio content will be packaged by Intersport, an award-winning production company based in Chicago.

Bernstein’s latest broadcast venture comes on the heels of her eight-year tenure with CBS Sports where she was the lead sideline reporter for the NFL on CBS and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships. Her hosting duties at the Network included CBS’ Emmy-nominated anthology series, Championships of the NCAA, The NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships and CBS’ New York-based studio shows, SportsDesk and At the Half. While she will continue to cover the NFL for CBS/Westwood One Radio, Bernstein left CBS-TV in February 2006 to pursue new challenges in broadcasting and to launch Velvet Hammer Media, a consulting firm for aspiring and working broadcasters.
